August 3-28    INTENSE PROGRESSIVE HOCKEY TRAINING


The 4 week program combines on-ice clinics and dry-land conditioning/shooting for over 70 hours of elite fun hockey-specific training.  After the program you will be physically fit, mentally sharp, and ready to dominate at your fall tryouts.

WEEK ONE AND TWO

There will be three sessions per week - 3 hrs on ice, 2 hrs dry-land training/shooting clinics.

  • Sessions will run Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
  • Morning groups will run approximately 8:00 am to 1:00 pm each day
  • Afternoon groups will run approximately 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm each day  
  • Nutrition will be supplied to athletes between skate and dry land. A complete itinerary will be available two weeks prior to camp
  • Off day weight training at CR Storm / CHT Canada training facility.

WEEK THREE AND FOUR

·         SAME SCHEDULE AS ABOVE ......6 DAYS PER WEEK (min 2 hours of ice per day)!!


THE GOAL – HAVE FUN, WORK HARD, SET AND ACHIEVE GOALS, LEARN, AND WALK AWAY FROM CAMP FEELING BETTER ABOUT YOUR HOCKEY AND MOST IMPORTANT YOURSELF!!!!







The Breakdown

All aspects of training for hockey will be covered to improve your game:

  • Evaluation (day one)
    Pre-training fitness test, on ice video analysis session, goal setting, and program outline
  • Mental Preparation
    Visualization and motivational techniques, game situation strategies (on and off ice), mental toughness and emotional control
  • Nutritional Instruction
    What to eat, when to eat, and how to eat healthy
  • On-Ice Clinics
    Power skating, puck control and stick handling, passing, shooting, game strategy situations, where to be when you "don’t have the puck", body positioning, and checking
  • Dry-Land Training
    AGE SPECICFIC  – Anaerobic, aerobic, circuit, obstacle, weight, plyometric training, and proper stretching techniques
  • Private Gym Training Sessions and Membership
    Train at your own gym....CHT TRAINING FACILITY OPEN TO ALL PROGRAM MEMBERS.
  • Extra Ice Time
    We will offer the opportunity to join other sessions. (inquire for details)
  • BONUS:
    3 on 3 Tournament at the end of program with awards and cool prizes.
  • Recap
    Post-camp evaluation and a plan to improve your game for the season
  • Included – training manual, jersey, t-shirt, and hat
  • Founder and Storm head coach Jim Revenberg at every part of camp.
  • Junior A/B (currently playing) level hockey instructors – 5-6 at every on and off ice session.
  • Total on-ice time = 54hrs plus 3-on-3 wrap up and extra sessions
  • Total off-ice conditioning and skill development = 36 +

 GRAND TOTAL .....minimum 90+ hours of pure hockey-specific, “take you to the next level”   on and off ice  conditioning!!!

 TOTAL COST:  $1285.00 + HST.    

$500.00 deposit due at registration on line or send cheque to CR Storm /CHT office,  balance due July 15th .

   4-Week Program Schedule
Week One:

  • August 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th - 6:30am on ice / Finish 11:30 - Noon
  • August 7th (Sat) - Open Skate 10am - Noon (Junior A/B Level)
  • Also, August 3rd, 5th, 6th - Open Skates (Junior A/B Level) - 4pm - 5pm
  • Week Two:

  • August 9th, 11th, 13th - 7:00am on ice / Finish 1:30pm
  • Also, August 9th, 11th - Open Skates (Junior A/B Level) - 4pm - 5pm
  • Week Three:

  • August 16th thru 21st - 1:00pm on ice / Finish 6:00pm
  • Week Four:

  • August 23rd thru 28th - 11:45am on ice / Finish 6:30pm
  • Complete hard schedule copy to be handed out first day.

    Note:
    • Bring off-ice training gear everyday (shorts, good running shoes, towel, water bottle, etc)
    • Bring additional nutrition (fruit will be supplied each day to grab as you go)
    • There will be opportunity for athletes to grab extra ice / gym / dry-land training time with other groups
    • Last day wrap up for all groups is Saturday, August 28th
    • This is a progressive training program, therefore it is important to attend every session designated to your group!
